Jonathan London (born March 11, 1947) is an American writer of children’s books, best known as the author of the popular Froggy series.
Early life
[edit]London was born in Brooklyn, New York. His father was a career Navy officer and London lived with his parents and brother Jeff on or near Navy bases all over the country, including Puerto Rico, until he was 18 years old.[citation needed] In college at San Jose State University he studied history and social sciences but became a poet. After receiving an MA in Social Sciences he joined a dance company in San Francisco, wrote poetry and short fiction, and travelled around the world.[1]
Career

Jonathan London has published more that 80 picture books. Desolation Canyon was his first serial novel; Bella Bella is his second novel for Breakfast Serials. Besides the sixteen popular Froggy books (including Froggy Gets Dressed and the New York Times bestsellers, Froggy Eats Out and Froggy Goes to the Doctor), London is the author of The Eyes of Gray Wolf; Honey Paw and Lightfoot, Fire Race, Hip Cat, Baby Whale's Journey, and, most recently Sled Dogs Run, as well as many other books for children.
